A slow-growing tropical plant from the West African rainforest. Only reaching 2ft tall, this plant has yellow speckles on bright green leaves emerging from a semi-woody stem. Both drought and shade tolerant, this is a great plant for beginners.
Pot Type: Terracotta or glazed ceramic with saucer.
Care Tips
Light: Bright, indirect light.
Water: When top 2” dry out. Reduce water in the winter.
Indoor: 10-14 days
Outdoor: 7-10 days
Use the finger method or a moisture meter to test the soil, as various pots/top dressings, as well as placement in your space will determine how often it needs to be watered.
Temperature: 65°-85°, over winter indoors
Humidity: High. Add humidifier, pebble tray, or mist regularly in dry temperatures.
Fertilize: Every month in the spring/summer or during heavy growing periods.
Repot: Every 2 years or if you see the roots growing out of the drainage holes.
